Charming Normandy Barn Conversion in the heart of the town (Gavray). Large, open plan dining / living area. Fully equipped kitchen. 3 bedrooms arranged as 3 doubles (or 2 doubles and a twin).

The house is next to our main house where my parents live most of the year. You will share the driveway, but can come and go as you please. There is ample parking on site

The Barn has only recently been refurbished and we have kept as much of the charm as we can!

The space
This beautiful Normandy Barn was built in 1868 and we have kept some of the original stone walls as well as the exposed timber roof trusses

Over two floors (c.150m2) we have created 3 bedrooms (2 of which are en-suite) Upto 6 guests. Open plan lounge and dining area. Fully equipped kitchen.

Dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron etc.

The barn has its own section of garden and shaded patio area for you to use. Bbq (gas) included

There is a wood burner and logs are provided at no extra charge

TV ans WiFi also included (smart TV, so you can connect to Netflix etc)

The house is in the very heart of the town and all the shops (and Saturday market) are a short walk away. The walled gardens also mean the the house is also private and and secluded.

Where you’ll be

Gavray, Normandie, France

Gavray is a great little town in Normandy. 30 mins from Granville and just over an Hr from Caen and Cherbourg. 55 mins to Mont San Michel

You are also close to the Normandy D Day memorials and beaches

The town is on the river Sienne and used to be the seat of Henry I. King of England and France. The ruins of his hill fort can be visited and offer a great viewpoint above the town. There are a couple of bars and restaurants, 3 boulangeries, pharmacy, butchers, post office, ATM, take out pizza place and a great market on a Saturday. Fresh Normandy mussels are 3€ a kilo and are just the best!

The area is fairly agricultural and if you know were to go, there are good farms selling Cidre etc dotted around
