Cozy room in funky little house lived in by creative & welcoming senior woman. Great for single or couple. Super comfy queen bed. Almonte is a friendly tourist destination w lots to do: textile museum, cute shops, several great restaurants and an art gallery. Multi-use Ottawa Valley Rail Trail runs through town. Discounts for stays longer than two nights; 50% discount for motorcyclists (I am a new rider). Non-smokers only. I have a cat, and I require proof of triple COVID vaccination.

The space
I would love for you to stay with me for more than one night, so I give discounts for two-night, three-night and four-plus-night stays (10%, 15% and 20% respectively). My home is clean, neat, tidy and full of cool stuff. Guests invariably comment on the interesting decor. BUT, it was built in 1955 (the same year I was conceived), and, as such, is no longer in perfectly pristine condition (kinda' like me LOL!). #justsettingexpectations

I'm a retired communications professional, blogger, writer and dementia care advocate. I volunteer and contribute to my community. I've also recently taken up motorcycle riding. I love connecting with creative and interesting people.

During your stay

I'm a curious, friendly and welcoming woman who is interested and interesting. I've travelled widely and love to hear about others' adventures as well as to share some of my own. Am technically retired but stay super busy as a blogger and dementia care advocate, community volunteer and enthusiastic participant in local events. I "work" and write from home most days. I am a new motorcycle rider.
