The space
Due to Covid, we carry out extensive cleaning regularly each day. We can still provide masks, gloves and hand sanitizer. Thetoilet/shower room is disinfected between each use. We are in a rural-setting, so contact with other people is very limited, unless you choose to drive into Lahinch or Doolin.

If you are seeking solitary sanctuary from the crowds, then our peaceful and tranquil home, nestled near the top of the hill offering panoramic views of Lahinch and Liscannor Bay will be the perfect spot for you.
In the heart of Father Ted country and being only 10 minutes drive from Lahinch, Ennistymon, Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher, and on the doorstep of the Burren National Park, it makes our quiet location the ideal starting point from which to explore the area. We are on the Wild Atlantic Way.

We have 2 double private rooms. as well as a bunk room with 2 single beds, all with access to the shared shower room plus use of the kitchen/diner and sitting room, both with turf fires. You are welcome to prepare your own lunch in the kitchen.

There is an array of seats in the garden for you to smoke or take in the views and watch sunsets.

Christy is a musician and we have ‘spare’ guitars around the house, should you feel the need.

We are on the Wild Atlantic Way so on our doorstep, we have
*Cliffs of Moher
*Doolin has the second largest stalactite in the world, the ferry to the Aran Islands and 4 pubs with free LIVE music every night.
*Lahinch with it's world class surfing beach and the Golf course
*Burren National Park where you could easily spend a lifetime exploring
* Galway and Limerick cities, an hours drive away
the Aran Islands in Galway Bay are only 30 minutes by ferry.

The views on a clear day are as far reaching as the mountains of Kerry to the South and Connemara and Galway Bay to the North. This is a tourist area which the local people are very proud of and are very willing to share the treasures that this area has to offer... a warm welcome awaits

Continental breakfasts...muesli , fruit and yoghourt, plus toast, cheese and salami included in your fee

Where you’ll be

Lahinch, Clare, Ireland

Discover the ‘real’ Ireland. Our renovated stone cottage sits towards the top of the mountain above Doolin with views of Liscannor Bay and Lahinch beach. Lahinch and Doolin are 12 minutes drive down the hill.
We are surrounded by farmland...our road, often referred to by our guests as a lane, is single track with grass growing in the middle. It is perfectly negotiable by tractors and trash carts, so it’s no problem for cars.
We have no light pollution so the night skies are amazing
You are more than welcome to sit in the gardens and read or absorb the silence before going down to the village for food every evening.

Christy and I are from England but live in Ireland. Christy is a musician/ singer/songwriter and I used to teach English as a foreign language. Now I build mosaic sculptures.
We love travelling and have visited most parts of the world. We lived in New Zealand for 6 years and welcome fellow travellers to share our home and amazing locality.
We are non smokers, have 2 cats and are eco friendly. Our garden is organic and what we don't grow, we source locally.
