Located in West Sumatra, one hour south from Padang city Batu Tabuan Beach Bungalows is the perfect place to enjoy both jungle and beach.

Our lodge, facing the Indian Ocean, has three unique style bungalows with private bathrooms and a restaurant in which we serve fresh and local food.

Due to our very isolated location, you will experience the sound of the nature and will almost feel like on a deserted island.

Please note that our prices include 3 meals/day + unlimited tea and coffee, water

The space
All bungalows are equipped with clean sheets, mosquito net and towels.
Because we are located on a very remote area (we guarantee only the sound of the jungle and the waves will disturb your sleep ! ), we do not have a wifi service.
Although you can buy 3G data for a very cheap price (the signal can sometimes be a bit tricky).

We are one hour away from Padang city, the capital city of the Minang Kabau area, and the starting point for Mentawai Islands.
We are from Nagari Sungai Pinang village, a small fisherman's village lost in the jungle.

The Minang Kabau people mainly live in West Sumatra and have a unique culture in the world. We will be very happy to show you the tradition of the world's largest matrilineal society.

Here are few activities to do :
- Islands hopping
- Snorkeling
- Trekking (waterfall, ricefields, jungle)
- Local life immersion in Nagari Sungai Pinang village
- Discover local crafts (cooking classes, woodcarving, sewing workshop)
- Surfing

We can also arrange tours to other places such as Mentawai islands to discover the tribe in the jungle or surfing, to North Sumatra (Toba Lake, Bukit Lawang etc)
