The space
The brand new glamping huts are located within our own property grounds which was formerly a Hop Garden producing hops for local beers. We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place and would like you to be able to share a little bit of this heaven with us.
Although we are only 45 miles by vehicle from most parts of London, it really feels like you are a world away. The perfect place to escape the stresses and hustle bustle of city life.

We have so much wildlife around us, it isn't unusual to catch a glimpse of wild Deer grazing in our fields along with foxes, rabbits, pheasants, squirrels, partridges, roaming around the land. We also have a family of Buzzards who live in the nearby woodlands who are usually seen & heard most days flying above our land looking for their next meal or teaching their young the skills needed to be a skilled hunter. Kestrels are also a familiar sight along the lanes.

There is plenty of space on site for entertaining, small gatherings, playing ball games, rounders etc. and also the ability to have a small open fire pit in the evenings.

The huts are privately set in our wooded glade area.
Each hut has its own exclusive outdoor area, comprising a mix of hard standing patio and grassed areas perfect for relaxing on the 2 comfortable sun loungers or maybe a nice Al fresco breakfast, lunch or dinner using the gas BBQ provided utilising the lovely french style bistro tables and chairs also provided to each hut. We feel that we have provided everything needed to relax and soak up the beautiful, tranquil surroundings.

Although the huts are Bijou and have a minimalist country feel, Inside the they are surprisingly spacious. There is a stylish double bed, 2 small armchairs, a pull out table, Mirror, tea & coffee making facilities. enough crockery & cutlery for 2 people. There is a wardrobe for hanging clothes with extra space for footwear underneath & further space within the cupboard and adjacent unit. There is a electric wood burning style stove for those chilly evenings to keep you nice and cosy. There are USB electric sockets for charging phones etc. We have also provided each hut with a DAB blue tooth radio for your entertainment.

Each hut can sleep up to 2 adults in a double bed.

Children are welcome however please bear in mind the huts only sleep 2. Our Bell tents may be more suitable for family stays, please see our other listings for more info.

We have a clean, well equipped communal kitchen area within the glamp site offering you great flexibility during your stay.

Why not book all 3 huts & 2 Bell tents for a group gathering or special occasion.
Although we state no parties in our policy, it is at our discretion. We will consider requests for daytime/early evening gatherings to celebrate with friends and family, we can help arrange for the hire of a small marquee if required and can also provide the services of a local caterer again if required for afternoon teas, sandwich platters, buffets, canapes and much more. We will consider hen & stag gatherings at our discretion, this very much depends on your planned activities etc. We can arrange local experiences/activities on your behalf. Please email to discuss further.

FREE Wi-fi is available if required!!! or you may prefer to just escape from it all totally!!

Where you’ll be

We are located in the picturesque hamlet of Cousley Wood within the parish of Wadhurst, directly on the border of Kent & East Sussex with wonderful views across the high Weald of Kent. Both an area of outstanding natural beauty & conservation area. The perfect spot to take a break away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. If you enjoy walking or cycling then this is the perfect retreat for you, with Bewl water on our doorstep, the largest reservoir in the south east with 13 miles of footpaths, which is open to cyclists, walkers and horse riders. Sailing, boat trips & fishing are also available along with the Boathouse restaurant serving an Al A Carte menu along with a more relaxed cafe or visit Tibbles cafe which you will pass on your way to Bewl, on the right hand side down Bewl Bridge Lane.

There is plenty more to see & do nearby as we are centrally located to many places of interest. Outside of walking distance opens you up to lots of other activities such as climbing, golf, tenpin bowling, steam railways, cinemas, theatres, beaches & seafronts etc.
There are many interesting houses and gardens to visit with 21 National Trust properties a short drive away including Scotney Castle, Chartwell as well as Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, Hole Park. The unique opportunity for walking and riding in 'Pooh Bear country' on Ashdown Forest is approx 20 mins drive, a lovely place to take in the history & throw sticks in the water from Pooh Bridge and watch them float away down the stream!

Cycling is a big thing in this part of the country and has grown increasingly popular in recent years due to the popularity of the triathlons at Bewl Water & Hever Castle. Plus having the tour de France pass through some of our neighbouring villages!!

The nearest town is Wadhurst which has 2 supermarkets open until 10pm 7 days a week along with smaller retail outlets, restaurants to eat in and takeaway from:
- Happy house - take away serving Fish & chips & Chinese
- Simply Indian & Sonar Goan are both eat in or take away
- Wadhurst Grill - take away serving kebab & pizza
There are many public houses serving food along with quality restaurants within 15 mins drive.

Our immediate neighbour offers Llama trekking experiences, please ask for details if interested in taking a Llama or few for a walk on a lead!

Our property is within walking distance of a popular 16th century - weather boarded public house. A lovely quirky place to relax, chill and refresh yourselves after a long walk or simply a nice stroll for evening dinner. They offer a lovely South American dining experience. There are also several other top quality places to eat and drink locally. There are lots of historic houses etc. locally and we are only 7 miles out of Royal Tunbridge Wells with a wide range of shopping outlets, great restaurants, lots of open spaces, the kent and sussex steam railway and the famous "Pantiles" which is steeped in history very much linked to royalty. There are several day ticket fisheries nearby. Whatever you want from your stay there is something to suit everyone.

This is a very peaceful area and we kindly ask all of our guests to respect our neighbours and surrounding land with regards to noise levels whilst on site and whilst coming and going from the property especially in the evenings and to keep to public footpaths where applicable.

I am a family lady through and through, they are my world. I have been married for just over 30 years, we have 2 grown up children & 2 handsome grandsons. I love the outdoor life, nature & the Kent countryside. We have lived here for over 22 years now after moving from East London where I was born & bred, therefore I appreciate how lucky I am everyday to be able to live in such a beautiful part of the world
