A charming cottage on a working farm in a unique location on the Glenarm Castle Estate in the first of the nine Glens of Antrim as you drive north along the famous Coast Rd. It's colour & individual style is the hallmark of the artist whose home it has been for the past 25 years. No square corners, retro with few mod cons, wifi, no shower but a long bath. Lovely walks along a salmon river; ancient indigenous oak woods & frequent sightings of red squirrels. Children welcome. Dogs negotiable.

You could easily spend a week here : off public roads in the middle of a lush, unspoilt glen grazed by organic shorthorn cattle & sheep, with a salmon river (daily fishing permits can be bought on request), the sea only a mile away, Glenarm Castle's restored walled garden & cafe (half price entry on proof of booking) & a pretty historic village to explore on foot before you need to get in your car.
