The cottage is located downtown Summerville in the Historic District. It is 1.5 blocks from Main St. and located behind a Victorian home built in 1890. The cottage is very comfortable and cozy with a queen size bed, comfortable sofa and easy chairs. The bathroom is roomy with handicapped railings beside the commode and bathtub. A skylight provides light even on cloudy days. There are a few living plants in the cottage and lots of artwork. Linens are provided. Ceilings are 9 feet.

Expect to be comfortable! Summerville is a charming town with lots of small shops and restaurants. Many are within walking distance of the cottage.

Summerville was the summer home of early Charlestonians trying to escape summer rains and resulting mosquitoes. It is the home of 'sweet tea', as the first tea farm in the country was located in S/ville. This is a quiet neighborhood with easy access to I26, Highway 61 and other routes to Charleston and the beaches.

My ultimate driving force is the pursuit of beauty. I have enjoyed drawing since I was a small child and that love has continued throughout my life. I taught art in the public school system and was able to experiment with many techniques and mediums with the students. Drawing is my number one passion in life. As of late, I've been consumed with drawing botanical specimens, especially those of Eleuthera (in the Bahamas). I love the outdoors; I love to work; anything pretty or unusual catches my eye. My husband is also an artist (and musician) whose hobby is creating very unique and unusual tables from river-etched wood. We are both interested in upcycling, and use driftwood, river wood, plastic, and beach 'junk' to create works of art when we're in the Bahamas. We enjoy sharing our houses with other people. It makes us happy knowing other people are having enjoyable vacations in unique accommodations. All of our places have one common theme: relax! We do not believe in 'fancy' or 'trendy' and want our guests to feel comfortable and 'at home' when they rent from us. We greatly appreciate our guests and try to make their comfort and happiness our #1 priority. Everyone needs a great vacation!!!
