Secluded romantic lodge, overlooking meadows bordering the Wye. Has its own private garden with access to the meadow. The lodge has full height windows overlooking the River. Wake to the sound of the river and bird song. Open plan living contains wood burner, comfortable couch, armchair, dining table and chairs, TV, Wifi, DAB and separate shower room. Equipped with microwave, cupboards and what's needed for cooking. Your hosts live in the two hundred year old Mill house nearby.

The space
Birds abound: swans, Mandarin ducks, canadian geese, herons, goosanders, egrets, and more as the River Wye is directly in front of the River Lodge.

Fishing for salmon, coarse and trout are within yards of the Lodge which overlooks the Rectory fishing beat. Tickets can be purchased from: The Wye and Usk Foundation.

Open fields along the river and a skipping-stone beach for games, swimming, boating, BBQing, campfires, waterbird watching, picnicing and musing and delighting in its beauty.

Behind the Lodge is a private, secluded garden with table, bench and chairs.

We are right on the shore of the River Wye, woodland on one side and open fields with ponies and foals on the other. Close by in the village is a small shop with essentials and not far away is a delicious Coffee, cakes and lunch cafe. Excellent area for walks, fishing, biking, canoeing, swimming and climbing in the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains.

My husband and I live not far from the Lodge. I am an American, living in the UK for many years. I love living here and enjoy the beauty and availabilty of mountains, rivers, farms, walking (I lead a walking groiup), good films and more. I'm a mother and wife and enjoy meeting people, entertaining and keeping fit. I also enjoy travelling, Bananagrams, and helping people.
