We offer a true peek into our humble and rustic lifestyle while you live with us the way we do. We aren't endowed with the trappings of an urban, modern life but our minimalism and simplicity shall offer you a fresh perspective into yourself. By staying with us you shall be patrons to a family with limited means and your contributions shall help bolster the education of the children in the family.

Road Connectivity :-
The village has fair connectivity and a metalled road runs through the village, neatly dividing the village into upper and lower halves. Shared taxis ply in the mornings giving connectivity to the nearest commercial center. Pick up and drops can be facilitated ex Kotdwar with direct payment being made to the Taxi owners.

The living space :-
One clean, dry, hygienic, well lighted, frugally furnished, independent room with independent entry/exit. The room has a window and the door of the room opens directly to the central courtyard. The room accommodates two independent beds with clean sheets, pillows and quilts.

Washrooms :-
Two common washrooms with Western and Indian style toilets each. There are however no showers and bathing is the traditional way using bucket and mugs. In case you are feeling adventurous you may bathe at the Stand Post or at the local village Stream/Spring

Food :-
The guest shall be served home cooked meals prepared using naturally grown and locally sourced ingredients. The menu shall be predominantly local Garhwali cuisine and special requests shall be welcomed subject to availability of ingredients. The guests are welcome to dine with the family in the kitchen, the traditional way, or can be served meals in the room.

Village Isoti was established over ten generations ago by two Istwal brothers from Village Naukhandi, who moved to the present location and established the village. The village is located midway to the top of Ameli Parwat, arguably the highest feature in Chaundkot and its boundary is spread over a vast tract of land.
Over the years other castes joined the village and as of date the village is a healthy mix of various castes living together in peace and harmony. The once thriving and prosperous village however has been deeply afflicted by migration and is now trying to slowly revive itself and claw it’s way back to former glory.
The village folk inhabiting Isoti are gentle, warm and industrious with exceptionally large hearts. The bulk of inhabitants are farmers who practice natural agriculture and grow traditional crops like Mandwa, Zangura, Sarson haldi etc for primarily their own consumption. They live a frugal and eminently simple life, toiling hard all through the year to make their ends meet. The village folk are deeply religious and celebrate their traditional festivals and occasions with customary gaiety and enthusiasm.
Isoti is a beautiful village blessed with abundance of natural beauty and natural resources. It overlooks a mesmerizing green valley. The village has a perennial natural spring and a seasonal rivulet also meanders close to the village. The Himalayan sunsets one witnesses at Isoti are truly spellbinding and awe inspiring.
Isoti is home to the Non Profit Organization called 'The Dagdiya Foundation'. Dagdiya means a friend or a companion in the local lingo and the Non Profit is actively working towards Women empowerment and Youth mobilization. I visited Australia (1997) as an “Ambassador of Goodwill, Peace & Understanding”, proudly carrying the Indian Tricolor. Over 20 Australian families across Northern Territory & Queensland hosted me with a world of warmth and care. Now as an Airbnb host, I want my guests to enjoy the exceptional hospitality that had enriched my beliefs, extending to our guests the amazing “MY Home” feeling during their stay.

Our family consists of my parents, my two married brothers and six fiercely independent children in the extended family. The family is spread over, Bandar Seri Begawan-Brunei, Vancouver-Canada, Wellington, Bengaluru, Vadodara & New Delhi, pursuing different passions.

I am an avid motor-biker and have done several interstate trips such as Dehradun-Rann of Kutch, (1988), INDO Tibetan Border Police Awareness Trail: New Delhi-Neeti Pass, Uttarakhand (2003). I once, did & survived, a "Hands- OFF" trip on Bike (1989) from Mussoorie to Rajpur, Dehradun, one of the many crazy thing that i have done in life.

Age is just a number. I did a SOLO Motorcycle trip from Bengaluru to Dehradun in March 2017 covering 2360 km across 10 states. My prominent car trips took me from Dehradun to Jaisalmer, Leh-Ladakh, Mumbai & Kochi. Though I have traveled to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei in South-East Asia besides my trip to Cairo, it is the though road travel that you are living your life.

I have been a voracious reader of English fiction and Hindi writers as well. Western and War movies are my favourite. Interaction with fellow human beings is the source of my energy. Honey and Homestay in particular, has brought life back into our lives.

I'm a firm believer in Karma. Palmistry, Astrology. God & Spiritualism fascinate me.
