The space
Perfect for solo travellers looking to explore the historic city of Lancaster. We live in a small village nearby the canal and Lancaster University. Great for access to the Lake District or guest stays at the University.

We want you to have a comfortable stay with us, so please make yourself at home. The bedroom has a single bed (linen provided), tea and coffee facilities, TV, desk, wardrobe and security box. We will be here if you need us for anything, but we will also give you space to do your own thing.

The village is calm and quiet, a perfect sanctuary for work or leisure stays. Good views to watch the steam trains as they pass through the village. The garden has different areas perfect for sunbathing or sitting reading a book. We also have a pirate themed home bar in the garden where you are welcome to join us for a night cap, especially if you are tempted to try our home brew!

Please note that we have another room available, so other guests may be staying.

The village is very quiet and quaint. The skyline is dominated by the old mill which used to produce silk dyed with the local rhubarb. The village is made up of little cottages for the workers of the mill back in the day. The village has not changed much since the 1900's so its a little like stepping back in time. The house is 5 mins walk from the canal which can take you into Lancaster and lots of other stunning country walks stem from the village. Why not take a walk down the marina and watch the quaint canal boats?
