The Pupukea Tropical Retreat is located on the captivating North Shore of Oahu. This spacious guesthouse is nestled on a one-acre property between Waimea and Sunset Beach, just above Sharks Cove. This is one of the most attractive and desirable locations on the island! If you're searching for something a bit more uniquely nostalgic and removed from all of the local touristy traps, come stay with us! World renowned surf beaches and grocery store just a 2 min drive down the hill.

The space
This unique and spacious ground level retreat, provides it's own private entrance and parking (which is behind our two car garage). The property is gated and our visitors will receive a gate code and house key upon arrival. This lush landscape is a rural, gated, one acre estate property. You will be greeted with lush vegetation, 100 year old mango and lyche trees, avocado trees, flowering orchids and many other tropical fruiting varieties.
This unit rests right in the middle of our one acre parcel. This space is perfect for a couple or family. The full kitchen is equipped with all necessary equipment to prepare basic meals. The large bedroom has a new firm California King mattress and a Queen Bed- ceiling fans above each bed to keep you cool at night. The bathroom has a standing shower, double sinks and a door to the outdoors where you will find a washer and dryer and an outdoor shower. The outdoor shower is a perfect spot to rinse off when when returning from a long day at the beach.
Enjoy our tree swing, pick some fresh citrus and see what country living is all about!
You will likely hear sounds from us or animals during the day. We are in the country so expect to be waking to the sounds of birds, wild chickens and neighboring dogs and animals.
There is not a bus station nearby, we are one mile up the hill and due to the steep nature of the landscape, a vehicle is required. It is a TWO MINUTE DRIVE TO BEACH-

Due to the country setting, you will often experience many "sounds and sights of nature" that you may not be used to hearing or seeing. There are many birds, geckos, lizards, horses nearby, the occasional rooster, wild pigs, a dog barking, typical life in the country!
We do use pest control to keep bugs at bay. Occasionally, there may be a few that find their way in. Keeping your dishes washed, food tightly stored away and counters clean will help to keep them at bay. We do provide a can of Raid for you to use if you do happen to encounter any unwanted pests.

We warmly welcome you to our spacious and lush utopia!
We reside in the main house on the property and are readily available to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
I can be reached 24/7 on my phone, just pop me a message and I can answer any questions that may arise.
Cell reception is not the best at times, texts tend to be more efficient.
We will respect your privacy, but are happy to share our knowledge of the area with you if you so desire.
You may see or hear our two young boys (8 & 4) playing in the yard or climbing trees after school. I am an artist and have an art studio on the property, you may see me roaming to and from during the day. Feel free to explore the property and make yourselves at home!
