This is a potter's resort in Satoyama, Iga. We took over the pottery and house of the owner's grandfather who founded the kiln, renovated it last year, and made it a great place for guests to stay.Exhibit local and international artists and pottery pieces to enjoy as a bed and breakfast in an art gallery.Feel free to use the living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
Feel free to visit the ceramics workshop, the exhibition room, the climbing kiln, and the hole kiln.Pottery experiences are available upon request and can be instructed. The work will be sent after firing.
To the north of the Sanso is a mountain where you can stroll. In front of the house, the forest spreads, the pond plays with wild birds, and Iga Ueno Castle is seen in the distance. You can enjoy seasonal trees, flowers, and a variety of wild birds.
Here, you can relax in the gentle nature of Satoyama in a space with relaxing time and artwork.Sometimes I encounter duck parents and children ~

Iga City is a 400-year-old castle town. You can also sightsee Iga Ueno Castle and the historic city by Fujido Takatigo. Kyoto, Nara's hideaway, and Iga's kingdom were historically important castle towns. Many cultural property buildings have been beautifully preserved and are still being used for a variety of purposes, making Iga citizens proud.

The space
The living room and bedrooms are decorated with family pottery and domestic and international art.
Enjoy it like staying in an art gallery. Furniture is available in European and Japanese antiques, and utensils are also available in Iga-yaki and Koimari. You can purchase them if you'd like. The bedroom is a tatami mat Japanese-style room, so please rest in a shark futon. You can also rest in a bedroom with a double bed. Feel free to use any room in your home.In the kitchen, cooking is also possible. You can also enjoy barbecues in the garden.
From the living room to the bedroom, enjoy the seasonal trees and flowers of Satoyama, relaxing time and views, and spend a relaxing time.

I am an artist and a potter. I was born in Hiroshima Japan. I studied painting since I was a junior high school student, and after graduation from Art college, I studied printmaking in Paris. I live in Iga for 42 years since I got married.
I started pottery and I still make pottery. My family is all artists. That is what I am very happy with.
I love old textile and fabric and nomadic ethnic jewelry, so I have been traveling to Asia and Europe for collections for 30 years. It is a lot of fun to set up antiques furniture , etc,, using my collection on the home decor.
So, I started a B&B in the second house of the showroom and the old house of the mountain. Taking advantage of my experience of traveling around the world , I make it a B&B if you can stay comfortable in Iga. I am sure you stay in my house B&B comfortable and relax. I will continue to travel the world from now on.
One day I want travel to Africa. I hope someday......
