Regular visits to Ghana for work meant I needed a bigger space than my retreat was able to accommodate. GBAWE SOHO was created for my needs.

This unconventional space will evolve every time I return to Ghana and can be enjoyed or appreciated by you in between times.

Relax or enjoy working in this private and secure space within a quite location of Gbawe, Greater Accra. If you truly aim to experience the life of a Ghanaian then this location is a great place to start. The whole apartment is to be enjoyed solely by you during your stay. A space for discovery and to be inspired. Enjoy a comfortable good nights sleep or an exciting working environment.

Located in Gbawe, the studio is a couple of minutes drive or a maximum of ten minutes walk to or from Gbawe Main Bus Station. At Topbase road, just a few minutes walk from the studio, you can see the sea on the horizon. On Topbase or Gbawe road you have a few restaurants and bars, cafes and supermarkets. For beach lovers, nearby are two of Accra's most popular beaches including Bojo and Kokrobite Beach. Venture out and about walking or on a bike around the beautiful Weija lake or Pambros Lagoon and discover it's beauty and natural surroundings. if you are thirsty on your walks, get a refreshing coconut which are sold all over Accra. Experience excitement of Mallam Market or just go in and out to get your fresh fruit and veggies. It is located near Dansoman Junction, which also serves the needs of inhabitants of Gbawe, McCarthy Hill, Weija and Odorkor.
McCarthy Hill is also an amazing place to explore for walks and some of the best views of the surrounding town and landscapes .

Having a large, newly built shopping mall close by you can buy all your essentials as well as find upmarket restaurants, bars, cafes and cinema and other entertainments facilities.

I was born in Ghana but have spent half my life living in the UK. I now have a family and young children, so I wanted to ensure I had somewhere to stay that was comfortable, relaxed and was designed to my tastes when we visit. After renovating the apartment, and spending time there, I thought how great it would be for other people to enjoy my space and feel at home, as I do. My apartment offers an authentic Ghanaian experience, coupled with the comforts of western living and I hope all my guests enjoy it there as much as my family and I do!

During your stay

The entire apartment would be solely used by you as the quest during your stay. As this is my holiday studio , I am often absent , however there are family members available for anything you need during your stay. They are able to assist you with any queries as well as providing information on local amenities, interesting restaurants in town, pubs, clubs and tourist attractions etc. Apart from family member assistance, communication with myself is easily facilitated via text during your stay.
