Enjoy the full view of the Sandia Mountains, hike the Bosque, enjoy the hot tub in the winter or the pool in the summer. Stroll Corrales' small shops and restaurants or enjoy the convenience of Albuquerque. Santa Fe is a 1 hour drive north.
This is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath detached casita with lots of charm and many comforts of home.

The pool is open mid-May - mid-October. The hot tub is available for use early October through early May.

The space
Sandia View Casita is decorated in the traditional southwestern style: vigas in the ceiling and adobe bricks. The kitchenette has many amenities including coffee pot, hot water pot, microwave / convection oven, toasters, toaster oven, crockpot, induction hot plate with pans, blender, and electric skillet. There is a large outdoor grill for use. If you don't find what you need, the hosts are in the main house. Note that the unit does not have a conventional oven however, the microwave is also a convention oven - perfect for roasting and baking.

Leather, reclining couch, comfortable beds (king is a tempur-pedic bed and one of the twins is a sleep-number adjustable firmness) and plenty of space to spread out - indoors and out.

The pool is open from mid-May to mid-October. This is a large (20 ft x 40 ft) salt water pool. It is perfect for lounging or kids as there are large sections that are 18 in, 3ft, 4ft and 5 ft as the deepest part. The pool has an electric cover for safety when not in use. The hot tub is available early October through early May. Plenty of towels for the pool and hot tub are available to you. Both the hot tub and pool will be for your exclusive use while you are visiting.

The casita is in a rural setting. You will feel like you are away from it all. Yet within a 3 mile radius you will find shopping, groceries and restaurants.

1 small pet less than 20 lbs allowed. Must be within your control at all times.

The neighborhood is very quiet and rural. If you want to get away and admire the stars and city lights, this is the place. During Balloon Fiesta (1st week in October) you will enjoy the views of balloons in all corners of the sky. All days of the year, the Sandia Mountains provide a constant show of color and change.

Corrales is a community known for farming and horses. The proximity to the Rio Grande river and Sandia mountain makes it great for those that want to be outside. Great hiking and biking trails near by. Or you can stay close by and enjoy the view from the hot tub or pool.

Note that the pool is closed for the winter approximately mid-October (when nights begin to get near freezing) and opened again in mid-May.

We have many suggestions on what to do for your visit. We would suggest a visit Santa Fe as it is just an hour drive north. Or head south about 20 mins to Old Town Albuquerque for the Spanish / Native American traditions. There are many unique museums and shows that we would be happy to recommend. Plenty to do for both kids and adults.

During your stay

The casita has its own entrance and parking. Code on door for self check-in. Completely private from the main house. However, if you need anything, we are right next door to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.
