The lighthouse (1878) is alone on the Gunnarsholmen island in Lake Vänern. You are in the middle of the nature reserve Lurö Archipelago. The largest inland archipelago in Europe. 15 minutes away with boat (at your disposition) you find the Ekenäs Harbor with shops/restaurant. In 30 minutes drive you are in Säffle. 2 new kayaks to use. The nature and wildlife is unique. Excellent Fishing. Great swimming / bathing. Modern wood sauna. Free wood.Alone with sheep and nature. New 2022: HEATING

The space
The guest use the whole lighthouse and sauna. Completely renovated lighthouse from 1878. The lighthouse is very cozy and romantic. High standard in excellent nature. The first floor contains kitchen and combined bedroom/living room (all open space). Second floor large king bed and beds for eventual children. Stair to tower with possibility to sit outside and enjoy amazing view. Electricity from Solar Panels, Toilet: High Tech Gas burner, heating: Modern Diesel oven

Beautiful island where you can be alone and relax. Fresh air and horizons. Excellent bathing/swimming possibilities. Fishing in lake Vänern is without license and an experience (for fishing pictures search in google). Exceptional wild life. Eagles, moose, deer, beaver. Just around you. At clear sky. Stars and planets without background light. All for you. We love it.

My husband and I are in love with Lake Vänern and the Lurö Archipelago. We want also you to experience the beauty of this unique place. During your stay

We have another location in the area and can be at the house within 30 minutes. Should there be any need for assistance with boat we are also immediately available.
