On your way to Charlestown, approx 1.5 miles from Avignon, you will come upon  the Historical site of Nelson Spring where Lord Nelson watered his fleet.  Continuing that route, you will see the St Thomas' Anglican Church which is the oldest church in the Caribbean then, in Charlestown, you can visit the birth place of Alexander Hamilton at the Alexander Hamilton Museum. On the Southern end of Charlestown, approx 2 mins  from the town center, you can visit the Hot Springs which is therapeutic and the

Bath Hotel adjacent to the springs is the 1st Hotel in the Caribbean. From there continuing along the island Main road, approx 3 miles the Historic St John's Fig Tree Church where the marriage Certificate of Lord Nelson and his Nevisian born wife Fanny Nisbett is held.

For hike lovers, one can explore the mountain, newly discovered water falls with a tour guide. Horse back riding can be arranged or visit the Nevis Pottery where items are moulded with local clay.
