My beloved holiday home in Spakenburg (40 km from Amsterdam) is occasionally for rent. It is located on a bungalow park near the cozy village and a beach at the Eemmeer. In the area you can walk, cycle, sail, swim, fish or visit nearby places such as Baarn or Amersfoort. Amsterdam is 45 minutes away.

The space
There is a beautiful garden with lots of privacy, various seating areas and a great view over the meadows with cows, sheep and birds. Due to heavy storm damage I had to tear down the cabin, so temporarily there is an open, ugly space (see picture).
The house of 40 m2 consists of a living room, kitchen, bedroom (bed 140 cm) and bathroom.

The house is 10 minutes walk from the village with many restaurants, shops and the old museum harbor and 5 minutes from a marina and beach on the Eemmeer where bicycles and boats are for rent. You can sail, swim, fish, cycle and hike in the area, take part in a botter boat trip, make a trip to the De Eemhof holiday village in Flevoland or visit the nearby medieval city of Amersfoort (20 minutes). Amsterdam is 45 minutes away.

Originally I am from Frankfurt, Germany. I have been living in Amsterdam for 30 years and I love the city with its cultural activities and the urban, cosmopolitan atmosphere. Once in a while I also like to "escape" to my little holiday home in the countryside to enjoy the peace and fresh air. I've travelled around quite a lot (as a backpacker when I was younger and a bit more at my leisure nowadays, on my own and in the company of others). I therefore know how important it can be to find warm hospitality and a nice place to stay in foreign surroundings. This is what I would like to offer my guests. In return they will enrich my mind with their stories and experiences. I speak Dutch, German and English fluently and some Spanish.
