With over nine hundred fifty three thousand acres, five hundred lakes, two thousand miles of streams and rivers, and only a few miles away from Agate Falls, Bond Falls, Jumbo Falls, and many more. Along with the natural beauty and peaceful serenity of the forest is the various wildlife that abounds. Deer, black bear, moose, wolves, and other types of small game and water fowl. Fishing is also abundant bass, walleye, northern pike, salmon, steelhead, brook trout, just to name a few. There is approximately four hundred fifty miles of groomed snowmobile/ATV/UTV trails that are maintained by the state and multiple private clubs. If hiking is your passion there is more than one hundred ninety six miles of surrounding trails,with various points of interest and level of challenge.
