The exterior was done in a spruce wood siding, while the interior was done in a local spruce shiplap, white washed for a soft appearance.
The cottage is clean, decorated with old and new so that it maintains that cozy feel. The fireplace adds a warm ambiance.
You have access to hiking trails across the island, where you may come across Foxes, Caribou, Whales or Icebergs depending on the time of year.
Don't forget to visit the Newfoundland ponies.

Island Harbour was a fishing town, now that the fishery is closed, the fishing premises that once thrived remained unused and falling down. I believe my little cottage is the perfect blend of new and old. Shiplap walls finished in a white wash is the back ground for local artist work. I enjoy a close group of friends, spending time outside doing seasonal activities. I am lucky to be surrounded by a large extended family as both my mom and dad are from Fogo Island. I enjoy sitting by a cozy fire while the wind is blowing outside and the waves crashing on the rocky shoreline. I love sitting on the porch with a hot cup of tea on a warm summer morning watching the sun rise or watching the sunset, a perfect way to end the day. I'd be remiss not to mention the people of Fogo Island, friendly treating strangers like friends and family. The simple things are the most special. Fogo Island is like no other place on earth, a breath of fresh air and the perfect way to relax and unwind.
