Relax, you're in the peaceful woods of Maine. 5 acre piece of property with WIFI & the whole house is yours. Property has this house & 2 small cabins. House is open, spacious & beautifully decorated. Perfect for a romantic retreat, family outing or group of friends. We have a beautiful river at the back of our property w/ a nice walking path to get there. Enjoy many winter & summer activities here. Close to Moosehead Lake, Greenville & Monson! ATV, Snowmobile & outdoor equipment rentals near by!

The space
The driveway will be shared by one other small cabin rental (be aware they also may have snowmobiles) but each will have completely separate parking areas. The house looks and feels like a big open cabin on the inside. You have the whole space to yourselves to enjoy. There is one bedroom downstairs with a private bath, another bedroom upstairs also with a private bath, and the third bedroom is a loft which has two twin beds. There is a bathroom on the main floor that can be used by all. The single bed in the "common space" is a folding single bed that we only provide when guest parties are seven and is an additional $15/person/night. We provide all linens, shampoo/body wash-in-one in the showers, wifi, Netflix, coffee and tea. You are free to use the pellet stove if you'd like, we have instructions in a binder in the kitchen.

Abbot Maine and surrounding areas are an outdoor paradise! Snowmobile, ski, snowshoe, attend a dogsled race, icefish, hike, swim, canoe, kayak and sight see are just some of the activities to do in the area. Greenville, home of iconic Moosehead Lake, is a 20 minute drive north, historic and charming Monson is 10 minutes away. There is a dining guide in the guest binder to these towns. Also in the binder are pamphlets to a few local attractions of the area. Piper Pond is only two miles down the road with a public beach and boat landing and ice fishing in the winter. Also check out Barrows Falls four miles down the road!

During your stay

We are available in a separate cabin on the camp road at the back of the property and will be happy to answer any questions you have or help in anyway. Other than that we give our guests privacy. We are growing and expanding this property so you may see us somewhere making something fabulous (or trying to keep up with the maintenance of this place lol)! We leave our numbers in a binder in the kitchen so text or call anytime. We are also very approachable. But this is your getaway- we'll leave you to it😊. FYI the best cell signal is on the porch and up the driveway (and oddly enough, down by the river).
