This Crescent Moon Cabin is located in the foothills of Trois Piton National Park and perched between two rainforest ridges with dramatic views of the Caribbean Sea. This solar powered and elegant cabin is immersed within a luscious flower garden, permaculture farm, with organic greenhouse for vegetables, culinary herbs, and aromatherapy plants. With over twenty years of hosting visitors to the Nature Island your hosts have the appreciation and experience to facilitate your Dominica adventure.

The space
The cabin is located one mile down into a mountain valley which overlooks the sea. After Hurricane Maria we built this cabin with intention to be sustainable to extreme weather and delve even deeper into an eco positive experience. The cabin is solar powered and the hot water is on-demand propane heated. There is no dependable cell signal within one mile of the cabin. The cabin main bedroom is upstairs with a direct view of the sea. The downstairs room is available upon request and can accommodate another couple or older children and offers beautiful garden views. The kitchen, dining room, and library are also included. The cabin can be self catering or meals can also be provided with advanced notice (see details on our house manual).

We are fully vaccinated and follow strict Covid 19 cleaning protocols. We began hosting in Dominica twenty years ago as a chef, a teacher, a bush master, and a flower gardener. We have deepened our skills and broadened our passions to include organic tropical farming and livestock, solar energy engineering, and essential oil distillation. We have been inspired by the creativity and experiences of our local community and our international guests. We cherish our time with both our families in Dominica and the Pacific Northwest.
