Sixty-seconds to the water’s edge… Claremont Cottage is a hidden gem tucked away one of the most historic parts of Weston super Mare.

The detached cottage offers a high standard of accommodation, its own hot tub, locally sourced continental breakfast, private garden and super-fast WiFi. It's the perfect place to relax by the seaside!

As experienced hosts we're really proud to have had property feature in Air BnB’s top 10 most ‘wish listed’ homes during the first lockdown.

The space
Claremont Cottage was built in around 1910 originally as an annexe to a larger Victorian property. It is tucked away on a quiet lane just above the resort’s Marine Lake - perfect for a romantic getaway.

The property offers a separate lounge, kitchen diner, bedroom and shower-room. The decor is modern with a touch of ‘seaside chic’ and practical touches to hopefully make your stay feel like a home from home.

The kitchen is equipped with oven and hob, dishwasher and everything you need to prepare meals if you choose to eat in. Basic kitchen ingredients like spices, oils, tea and coffee are provided.

The bedroom, tucked into the rear of the cottage includes a king size bed that looks out onto the garden.

The dual aspect lounge includes a large sofa with a 48” Smart TV with Netflix account - blankets are provided when you wish to cosy-in and watch the latest box sets! The property has gas central heating with smart thermostat to easily adjust the temperature. The building’s thick stone walls help keep the property cool during summer and warm in winter.

Books on local history, photography and the tide times are provided. A Bose Bluetooth speaker is also provided so you can listen to music.

Outside is a garden with raised terrace and pergola containing a new Hot Tub. Ideal for two people the tub is perfect to invigorate aching muscles after a long day and enjoy a glass of something cool in the warm water – it is maintained to a constant temperature 38 degrees.

Guests are provided with a breakfast that includes bread, free range eggs, Danish pastries, cereals, biscuits and milk.

The property is tucked away on a narrow lane and is a minute or two on foot to Marine Lake and the promenade, Anchor Head with its pebble beach and the picturesque Prince Consort Gardens (the perfect spot for a picnic).

Follow the prom into town and you will pass some of the town’s best restaurants and bars can be in the town in 10 minutes.

Points to note before booking:
Points to note on location: In the adjacent road construction work is taking place as part of the ongoing regeneration of the area. This is restricted to daytime weekday hours. The cottage and its garden sit nestled close-by to other buildings (both old and modern). The cottage is accessed via a quiet lane which leads down to the seafront and provides access to other dwellings and domestic car parking.

Points to note about parking: Parking is not available on the property. There is plenty of free on-road parking footsteps away from the front door of the cottage. If required, a pay and display car park is 30 seconds walk (£3 for 24 hours).

Points to note about Hot Tub: The Hot Tub is available for use until 10pm each day.

Steeped with Victorian history and dominated by a fabulous beach, Weston is a great place to explore and get to know.

It has several long golden sandy beaches and is home to the Grand Pier, the Playhouse Theatre, a bustling high street and independent shopping areas, two golf courses and a growing arts and music scene.

The former Tropicana Lido, which hosted Banksy's Dismaland in the summer of 2015, now has a modern cafe, its own programme of theatre events and is an all-round entertainment space hosting concerts and festivals.

The Beach Lawns host some fantastic annual events including Weston Air Festival & Armed Forces Day, Weston Beach Race and Weston Carnival.

The new dolphin square complex opened in 2018 and houses new restaurants including Pizza Express, Nando’s, 7Bone Burger Co. as well as a new Cineworld.

My name is Joy. I live with my partner and two baby girls and work part time for the NHS as a Psychologist. Restoring the Coach House has been for me a labour of love - I wanted to create somewhere that was 'coastal chic' and I hopefully if you visit you'll feel we've achieved this. We really wanted to make sure the coach house was somewhere that I would love to stay in, so we have prioritized comfort, style, local produce (for breakfast) and hope that you enjoy your stay if you choose to book with us.
