I am a Greek-Cypriot born in London and living the last 40 years in Greece. Family is very important in our culture, and I have 3 adult children. I am now a pensioner having spent nearly 35 years in the Agricultural business.
I enjoy travelling and i would like to visit countries in Asia and Far-East with my wife (Debbie). I like watching movies and documentaries especially on the environment and Science related. I am fond of both English and Greek music and i am a great admirer of Elvis Presley. I enjoy football but also have a passion for for tennis after having followed Roger Federer throughout his career.
I plan to spend more time in Tinos and my wife and i are looking forward to receiving visitors from Airbnb to extend our hospitality and the beautiful places in Tinos .

During your stay
To facilitate your arrival the visitors will be met at the port of Tinos at the arrival time agreed and will be escorted to the house. Due to Covid-19 virus all areas in the house and swimming pool with which the guests havs access, special care will be applied to sanitize before and after departure, and we will supply hand gel/liquid sanitiser in the house. Most of the time we will be available to assist and make the stay both comfortable and enjoyable. We will be able to advise which restaurants to visit, supermarkets, best beaches, and archaeological sites. The mountains and the weather-beaten rocky summits are ideal for hiking. The most popular places for this sport are the rock of "Xomburgo" but also the giant granite rocks scattered around the landscape of "Volax" and "Livada". Also, there will be information on the 60 picturesque villages of the island and what events are held throughout the year but mainly during summer months. Tinos is also famous for its world renowned marble sculptures especially in the town of Pyrgos which is a 'must' place to visit, as well as the 1000 artistic dovecotes and famous amongst Greeks for the Church of Panagia Megalochari. The large Catholic community gives the island a particular character with many religious traditions interwined with the Orthodox community.
On arrival the fridge will be stocked with water, various soft drinks and fruit will also be provided.
As far as hiring a car, if the visitors so wish this can be arranged prior to their arrival or information can be sent in advance on the local car hire companies available, and also the ferry times for ships to and from Tinos
Note: Tinos is 3 hours and 50 minutes by ferry from the port of Rafina, or 1 hour and 30 minutes with a fast ferry. Rafina is a 30-minute drive from Athens airport. A single crossing ranges from €21.50-€45 depending on the way of transport and ferry company. Many visitors from abroad arrive at Mykonos which has an international airport and the ferry boat trip to Tinos is 20-30 minutes.
