Enjoy beauty and tranquility of superb sunsets from your own sea front balcony. The loft has a private bathroom and a kitchenette. El Colectivo offers both privacy and space to connect with others. It's conveniently located on Isla Colon of Bocas del Toro, surrounded by sea on both sides. We are located a short walk from the town, so it's quieter. Colectivo offers the best options for short or long term stays. You won't want to leave! New to airbnb but with over 6 years of very happy travellers.

The space
El Colectivo de Saigon has 4 studios and 2 lofts in a wooden building on pillings just over the sea of Saigon bay. The studios are equipped with a comfortable queen size bed, a private bathroom with hot shower, a kitchenette with a small fridge, cooker and oven, cookware and utensils, so you have everything needed to make yourself a nice meal. The balcony offers sea view and gorgeous sunsets, so you can kick back and relax, and watch all sorts of fish swim by.
The studios are about 26sqm in size, the lofts are twice the size.
Adjacent to the house with private studios and lofts is also a communal area, where you can hang out with others when you feel like socializing. There is also a bigger communal kitchen, available to all guests, and we sometimes have spontaneous communal dinners and other sorts of gatherings. There is a pool table and we just got a new addition - a ping pong table.

Where you’ll be

Bocas del Toro Province, Panama

El Colectivo de Saigon is located on the main island Isla Colon in Bocas del toro. We are right on the water of Saigon bay and just across the street of Ismito beach, with a 100 meters in between both waters... You literally just cross the street to get to the beach. We are away from the town center's noise but still close to its services, so the locations really gives you best of both worlds...
You can walk to town, starting by the beach, and continuing through a quiet neighbourhood, or walk through lively Saigon bay village. Depending on your pace and leg length, it takes 10 to 15 min. Alternatively, you can go by bicycle or grab a taxi or colectivo bus.
There are several beaches you can walk or cycle to, or take a boat to other islands. The lovely bus ride to Bocas del drago takes about 30 mins from where you can continue the beautiful walk to Playa de estrellas.
There is a nice yoga place in town and is very reasonably priced with classes 5 days a week. SeVeral dive centers offer a variety of options and agencies offer day trips to various places.
There are plenty of different kinds of restaurants and bars both in town and in our neighborhood.
Our neighbourhood is laid back and gives you an insight into local Carribean every day life.
