After settling into Seascape Premium Apartment at Oceanside, Waihau Bay, relax – enjoy the expansive ocean views, fishing or exploring the beach - then finish your day soaking up our spectacular sunsets.

We are situated by the safe and sandy Oruaiti Beach (pictured) considered to be perhaps the best in the East Cape area.

The space
If you are looking for a beautiful unspoiled beachfront holiday destination, Oceanside at Waihau Bay is an excellent choice.

Situated directly across the road, it is just a short stroll to this safe , white sandy beach, offering you a beautiful location for all the usual beach activities, swimming, snorkeling, walking, surfcasting, etc - it is such an unpopulated area,so you will often feel like you have this beautiful paradise all to yourself, with all it offers.

Appreciate the expansive views of the Bay from the main bedroom and living area, along with the sunny deck. Both of the bedrooms have outlooks over the water – relax and watch the ocean from the comfort of your bed – or sit in the comfortable open plan living area with full glass frontage, looking out across the water- we also have boat parking available.

This two bedroom apartment has one queen room, one double – with it's own small balcony, one well equipped bathroom, a full kitchen with ovens, microwave, dishwasher and ocean views again to savour, while you prepare your fresh seafood!

We are sorry, this apartment is not suitable for children.

You will find your accommodation comfortable and well equipped with all you need, but the most special part of Oceanside is this amazing location - soak up the peace, walk the sandy beach, throw a line in and catch some dinner! watch the ocean.... and don't forget to take time for the breathtaking sunsets.

The beach is a family's paradise... sandy stretches, safe swimming, snorkeling, rock pools to explore, and at low tide – perfect for a game of cricket or volley ball.

An escape anytime for anyone – listen to the waves, watch the sea, walk the beach, watch striking sunsets, see the incredible sky at night - no light pollution.

The fisherman's dream location – whether it is a spot of surf-casting off the beach or rocks, or the renowned fishing of all types.

Accommodation – we offer three large self-contained apartments, each with separate bedrooms sleeping from 1 to 7 people. Enjoy the fabulous views while using our fully equipped kitchens, or relaxing in the large open plan living areas.
Oceanside is well placed for exploring the areas around: Whanarua Bay, Cape Runaway, Lottin Point, Hicks Bay, Te Araroa, and the East Cape Lighthouse – all within a 45 minute drive.

NEARBY: while Waihau Bay is pleasantly removed from the hustle and bustle of more commercial areas, you can get all the usual essentials.

Waihau Bay Lodge: meals , take aways and a hotel bar,5km along the Bay.
Waihau Bay Store: situated right beside the Lodge, for again takeaways, coffee, groceries and fuel pumps.

The East Cape is a remote area, with beautiful coastal scenery, rocky foreshores, driftwood strewn beaches as well as safe sandy swimming beaches.

Largely untouched by development, there are no high-rise or fast food outlets here - simply pristine ocean, clean rivers, back country beef and sheep stations, clear waterfalls, a region steeped in history.

It is a haven for those seeking peace, rest and relaxation as well as a playground for active adventurers, and a fisherman's dream.
