Your traditional white and blue home at Naxos, at a unique crowd-free place! With amazing sea and wild rocky views, right next to the awesome color waters of the Aegean sea, accommodates 4 persons. Its typical Cycladic interior with fireplace offers sea views as from the inside of a boat! The balcony give a unique character at Lionas bay, a fantastic vacation or retreat place of wild beauty.

The space
The house is right next to the beach of Lionas. A one family home with amazing sea view, right above the waters. Sitting at the balcony feels like being on a boat! The scenery is oceanic, with a view at Lionas bay, the rocky slope and the white pebble beach, and the endless blue of the open Aegean from the other side. Enjoy sitting at the balcony and listening to the sound of the sea, as it gets rough from time to time due to the Greek Meltemi, a local north-eastern wind. Naxos island has the fewest rainy days in Greece, so fair weather is guaranteed throughout the year. The house accommodates 4 persons in 1 bedroom and a double sofa-bed in the living space. There is a smart TV and we will provide you with wifi internet. The kitchenette is equipped for cooking, with a stovetop, mini-oven, filter coffee and Nespresso coffee makers. There is air conditioning. Access to the beach is immediate, some 100 meters walking. For the more daring, right at the house there are stairs that lead into the water at the rocky side. However, do not try this with tough seas. There is also a beautiful pavement for walking next to the waters. Τraditional taverns with fresh fish right from the fishing boat and other Greek delicacies are at the beach, one breath away and can cover all your daily meals . Naxos town, Chora with the amazing castle and upper old town is within 45 minutes reach by car (34km). The famous villages Koronos (6km) and Apeiranthos (16km) are within close distance. It is a perfect place for a great holiday off the tourist crouwds, swimming, hiking and enjoying the wild nature and deep blue of the Aegean Sea.

Lionas, Greece

Lionas bay has a pebble beach with amazing water colors, facing the open Aegean sea. The landscape is stunning. To get there from Naxos port, one has to pass through breathtaking scenery, viewing impressive rocky mountain peaks in the distance, wild goats, the old mines with the abandoned cable car right at the side of the road, among others. The drive from Naxos Chora to Lionas (45min) really adds to the experience! At Lionas bay, you will enjoy the landscape, swimming, the tranquility of the area and the many hiking paths. You may want to rent a car and reach the close larger and well known villages and other places of interest on Naxos island. Do not neglect to visit Drakospilia, a cave with stalactites and stalagmites, 14km hiking from Lionas. Lionas has the essentials (like a traditional tavern with fresh fish) within walking distance from Lionas Seaside Retreat. Naxos island is famous for the best food in Cyclades. Tomatoes, potatoes , varieties of cheese are some of the local products, and the famous Raki and Citrus, artisanal strong liquors.
