We are within short driving distances of all of places you’ll want to take in: Surat Bay with its Sea Lions, Jacks Bay Blowhole and the Kaka Point lighthouse to name just a few. Be sure to book your evening meal in Owaka at the "Lumberjack" or instead pick up takeaways from the "Bakehouse".

The space
In the private guest wing you will enjoy a bedroom with ensuite bathroom, separate living area with TV, and tea & coffee making facilities with microwave and fridge. The Suite is centrally heated with radiators to keep you toasty warm. There is also a private deck which is a lovely spot for a late afternoon BBQ or spa.

Where you’ll be

Owaka, New Zealand

We are very close to the township of Owaka where there is a great restaurant, some great takeaway options and plenty of good coffee! We have a very good little supermarket where you can get supplies, and we also have a couple of very cute gift shops. We are also close to all the lovely scenic spots in our area. Close by is Jacks Bay, Surat Bay and over the hill is Kaka Point with its stunning lighthouse and a chance of seeing penguins. Just down the road along the Southern Scenic route there is so much to see with waterfalls, beaches and bush walks, with a couple of nice cafe's along the way.

Rodney and I built our home in 2009. We have lived in the area most of our lives. Rodney runs a sawmill which is situated about half an hour away, and I work with him along with running our Air B'n'B.
We love the outdoors and have just bought a couple of pack rafts which we intend to try out over the summer. We also like to go hiking, and have done quite a few tracks around the South Island.
I'm into gardening and would like to expand my veggie patch.
