Charming, but simple, rustic, yet luxurious – Casa El Molino is set privately within the working, wine producing vineyard of El Molino de Cachi. This six bedroom villa has had many lives, all of which make the villa a fascinating, unique place to stay.

Please note this property is under new management as of 2014 and is no longer run as a hotel or guest house. Neither the previous owner nor staff remain. Reviews outside of the Airbnb site do not relate to this listing or management.

The space
A ten-minute drive from Cachi, which itself is a two hour, scenic journey through the epic mountains and beautifully diverse landscapes of the Salta region. Enjoy the drive and arrive at our property ready to relax nestled in the Cachi Valley located in "Cachi Adentro", surrounded by mountains, giant cacti, lush greenery and fresh air. The six bedroom villa at El Molino has had many lives, all of which make it a fascinating, unique place to stay.

First, in the nineteenth century, as a working mill – the stream which powered that mill still runs through the property; its gentle, soothing sound is something you’ll miss as soon as you leave.

Then, most recently, it was a luxury hotel – this you feel given how well the property is equipped, for example; there’s a small kitchen, with everything you’ll need, but there’s also a much larger kitchen where the extra space and appliances make it possible to cater for twelve or more guests.

Add to that everything else available to you when you stay at Casa El Molino; the various spaces around the property for relaxing, the dining hall and the outdoor areas including swimming pool, barbecue area, and three large outdoor pizza ovens and grill. Stay for a fortnight and make yourselves at home – or stay for a night or two as you make your way along the Salta wine trail.
