Bisaunii (“बिसौनी”) literally means “a place to rest on a path” in Nepali. We are your hosts, the three sisters, who share passion for travelling and meeting new people outside of our professional lives. We understand the value of a clean place with a cosy ambience to rest at the end of a hectic day in a busy city like Kathmandu. Hence, we set out to create a space that would help our guests relax and unwind after a busy day of travels & adventures.

The space
Our home is nested in the heart of Maitidevi, a 10 minutes’ drive from the International Airport. It gives guests easy access to airport, and a 10-15 minutes ride to major attractions like Pashupatinath Temple, Thamel, Kings Road and many more. The place is cosy and comes with 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds and a modern well-equipped kitchen, a living room to lounge with sofas and a TV, private bathroom with hot water and a private balcony plus terrace is available for soaking up some nice Nepalese sun.

Guests will also be provided with a jar of mineral water.

Where you’ll be

Kathmandu, Central Development Region, Nepal

Maitidevi is a busy neighborhood situated at the heart of the city and derives its name from the temple of Maiti Devi, a tantric goddess. It is a five minute walk from the house and will help you experience Nepal's culture and the devoted Hindus prayers and rituals in both the morning and evening. According to legend, the temple was built after a divine peacock appeared here and turned everything it touched into gold. Inscriptions and idols from the Lichchhavi era found in the temple help date it to that period, and the temple is also home to ruins from the medieval era.
