Set in an acre of lovely garden, the self-contained Victorian annex, adjoins Grade II listed Georgian mansion. The annex has been renovated to high standards and is completely self-contained, with it's own access, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, dining room and outdoor area.

The space
The main house dates back to around 1760. The first mention we have found of the house, was a Rev. Farnham Haskell who lived here with his son-in-law. Following this in 1830 Col. Thomas Patton and his new wife Matilda lived here. They had nine children whilst living here, and Matilda lived here until her death in 1898 - before her death she was the longest living resident of Bishops Hull.
After the Pattons, the Waterfields moved in. They made the victorian changes to the house - including the windows, the front and back porches and floor tiling. The Waterfields also sold off land. The daughter built a house of her own, which is our neighbour to the left. Originally our house had an eagle above the front porch, but when the house was built next door the eagle was removed and placed on their gate post!

After spending 7 months airbnb hopping while we waited for planning and listed building permission(s) to be approved on our current house - we got to know what we did and didn't like about airbnb's. Our house is very big and we have been converting it from offices back to a family home - as it should be! The annex part of the house was custom built for an Airbnb and is hopefully a home-from-home. We love meeting people - but understand that most people want peace and quiet - and we are happy to leave our guests to enjoy the space. We are however, always contactable and are more than happy to help guests, whether that be about the house, or the local area.
