The space
The idyllically situated log cabin is built from whole tree trunks. Both exterior and interior views have a unique charm. Equipment and furnishings are deliberately modern and practical.
The slope of the large sloping, south-facing property allows a completely uncovered 180° panoramic view over large expanses into the caravans. The house is flooded with sunshine, the terrace invites you to sit and enjoy all day.
The natural large garden with partly old trees is ideal for playing for children. There is a swing and other wooden toys. A large, covered double carport with 2 parking spaces and bike/equipment shed is available.
The house is located at 1650 meters above sea level in the village Hochrindl-Kegel, which belongs to the ski and recreation area Sirnitz/Hochrindl in the nature reserve and hiking area of the Carinthian Nockberge.
It is very quiet at the end of a cul-de-sac directly at the forest. Special attraction in winter is the direct access to the ski slope, which allows a descent from and also to the house with skis.
Hochrindl is a popular family ski resort with 8 lifts, many possible slopes, cross-country trails, snow hiking tours, toboggan runs and romantic horse-drawn carriage rides.
Ski school, restaurants and mini-market are within walking distance. The larger ski resorts of Bad Kleinkirchheim and Turracher Höhe are both 20 km away by car.
On the ground floor of the house you first get from the entrance door into a spacious hallway/staircase with storage facilities. From there it goes into the large living, dining and kitchen area that extends over the entire width of the house. In the middle is the typical green tiled basic stove, which is to be equipped with wood from the hallway. It has a state-of-the-art automatic control system with which the entire house can be optimally heated. The kitchen is modernly equipped with refrigerator/freezer, ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher.
Furthermore, on the ground floor there is a shower room with toilet, as well as a 2-bed bedroom.
A rustic wooden staircase made of tree trunk halves leads to the upper floor with 3 spacious bedrooms, two of them with balcony access to the south panoramic side and a large bathroom with bathtub, double sink, toilet.
