Come to us. It is nice here. Cozy guest room in a former barn. Near Cologne and Bonn. Large natural garden. Wonderful night's rest in the green between landscape and nature reserve. A solar system supplies the house with clean energy for electricity, hot water, heating. EV charging station available.With us in the house live two cats and a dog. Getting to us by public transport a little complicated, but possible.

We live in the beautiful Bergisches Land between Cologne and Bonn, each about 30 km away. We found a treasure with this house. A converted to the house barn with incomparable flair. In the summer we have an almost Mediterranean life on the sheltered sun terrace and in the spacious garden with many cozy corners. In winter it feels like in fairyland. Then we make fire in the fireplace, go to the sauna and enjoy our own wellness oasis. At night, it is quiet around the house - depending on the wind direction you hear now and then a plane on the approach to Cologne / Bonn airport. Otherwise only the poplars rush.

In addition to the guest room is a bathroom for your exclusive use. The bathroom is located outside the room on the other side of the hall (10m).

The view from the guestroom opens onto a large meadow, which is adjoined by a forest area. Meadow and forest are protected landscape area.

The house is open and very winding laid out on several levels - here a little gust, there a podium. Oh, you'll find your way around ;-) Above the guest room is the living room with fireplace, dining area, reading lounge and a wonderful view of meadow, forest and sky.

At night, the stars sparkle here when the sky is clear. There is almost no light pollution ;-)

We generate the energy for our house (electricity, heating, hot water) with our own solar system and batteries.

The Bergisches Land is a dreamlike area that invites to long walks. Only a few minutes walk from our house begins the beautiful nature reserve Naafbachtal.

For eating out we recommend the restaurant "Auf dem Berge" - no five minutes walk from us. Good and inexpensive schnitzel-and-more restaurant. Beer garden with fantastic distant views.

Food (Lidl, Edeka), pharmacy, bakery, snack bar, post office are located in Wahlscheid, three kilometers down the hill - five minutes by car. Further shopping in Lohmar (7 km west) or Overath (7 km east).

Ich beschäftige mich am liebsten mit kreativen Dingen. Mein Mann, Ulfert, ist Filmemacher und Regisseur.

Vor fast fünf Jahren haben wir die große Stadt Köln verlassen und genießen jetzt die gute Luft und die Ruhe hier im Bergischen Land.

Ulfert engagiert sich ehrenamtlich im Vorstand der Projekthilfe Gambia e.V., betreut die Webseite und die Social-Media-Seiten des Vereins, macht Filme und Fotos über die Projekte (Buschklinik "Jahaly Health Centre" und Kindergarten im Dorf Jahaly) und ist regelmäßig in Gambia vor Ort. Anja tobt sich an der Nähmaschine aus, schwingt die Pinsel und spielt je nach Laune die unterschiedlichsten Instrumente, hauptsächlich Saxophon.
