My wife and I work as architects and construction administrators. We have renovated our three storey stone historic house (c. 1906) since 2001. Originally from Baltimore, MD. We find that being two hours South of Pittsburg and living in a small town gives us the best of both worlds.We love to cook, and often times invite our guests to join us. We have rented our third floor apartment to numerous guests that were relocating to the North Central area of West Virginia. Those guests have found a home away from home while looking for a more permanent residence.
We welcome the opportunity to become acquainted with our guests, if they want to engage in enlightining conversation. If not, then you will find yourself in a very safe and walkable neighborhood. There are two grocery store within 2 miles and numerous churchs. We are within walking distance of Fairmont University and 25 miles from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV.
Our property in Charleston has functioned as a home away from home while we have been expanding our business contacts in the Southern portion of the State. The view of the river, and its beauty is something to behold. Seeing barges navigate the river and seeing what is being hauled is always a pleasure.
The river boasts two different sidewalks, one along the river, and one along the boulevard. Fun place to ride a bike, take a walk or run awhile.
