My 3 story private home has 5 private rooms for guests. Public areas are my living room, a lounge, the garden & the balconies. The house overlooks Petra from the Bedouin village, Umm Sayhoun. Sunrise & sunset! As a local, I am happy to help you have a great experience.

The space
The house is my private home and I am living downstairs. As a tour organizer, guests may also enjoy access to a majority of the house during my absence. In this case, one of my family members will be there to make sure you have everything you need. On the second floor, there is a private entrance ensuring greater privacy. As I am only living at the ground level, the upper floors are dedicated to guests. The living room, dinning room, the terraces, garden and roof are common areas. WIFI is free and available everywhere. The house has modern Western facilities with our traditional Bedouin style, giving you high comfort and an authentic local experience at once. In addition to that, there are various opportunities to enjoy one of the best views directly into Petra.

Where you’ll be

Petra - Wadi Musa, Jordan

The Bedouin Village (Umm Sayhoun) is a lively place of local Bedouin families. Each family is part of a tribe and each tribe has an area that they occupy in the village. There are 6 small tribes in the Bedouin Village. Most Bedouin in the village work inside Petra with shops, camels, and donkeys. Our life is all about hospitality. As we once lived inside Petra and some of us still do, we know the entire surrounding area by heart. The village itself offers a small cafeteria, local supermarkets and other things needed for our daily life. You are thus in a very local environment and not as touristic as Wadi Musa.

I am a Bedouin who was born in a cave in Petra. I grew up playing inside the ancient city that is now a Wonder of the World. Since 1986, my Bedouin tribe has resettled in the Bedouin Village just outside the Petra park. I now work as a guide in Wadi Rum and in Wadi Araba, but Petra will always be my home. I love going hiking and trekking in the deserts around Petra, Baida, Wadi Rum and Wadi Araba. I am part owner of a camp in Wadi Rum and I have my herd of goats in Wadi Araba. My passion is cooking. I love to cook many different kinds of food local and western. My personal favorite is to cook over a fire out in the desert, as the wood gives everything a better taste. You are welcome to stay in my home. If you'd like, I can give you tours around Petra, Wadi Rum and Wadi Araba. Warm welcome and feel at home in my villa.

My 2-story home is large and spacious, overlooking the ancient city of Petra. I have 4 bedrooms and can host up to 10 guests. I have 3 bathrooms, a large dinning room, living room, and ceramic kitchen to enjoy cooking in. There are 2 terraces, a large courtyard, a garden, and there is a brick-oven on the roof. I do have WIFI. If you need more information please don't hesitate to contact me.
