Kingfisher Barn, so called because of our resident kingfisher on the adjacent pond, is a lovingly renovated outbuilding situated on the edge of the historic village of Appledore. There are three bedrooms and a large light-filled open-plan living space with everything you need for a family holiday or a romantic rural getaway.

The space
Recently renovated to a high standard Kingfisher Barn is a south facing boutique style space, glass-fronted and filled with sun and warmth all year round. It is on one floor and opens out onto a private patio and fire pit / bbq area with views of the pond and fields beyond.

There are three bedrooms; 1 bunk bed room suitable for children and adults, 1 double room and 1 larger bedroom with a superking bed that we can split into two singles should you wish.

We are just outside Appledore, a small village that has an eventful history going back to Roman times. Once a port, the village was considered to be on the front line of defence against the threatened Napoleonic invasion, hence the Royal Military Canal passes close by. Today the canal offers excellent walks and fishing. The long distance footpath which follows the old Saxon Shoreline passes through the village.
