This serene and comfortable cottage is in a private location on a rural lifestyle property, just 12 minutes from both Havelock North and Hastings, within easy cycling distance to the Bridge Pa wineries, including Trinity Hill, Ash Ridge, Oak Estate & more. Free use of bikes.

A delightful garden with rural views and friendly sheep, goats & ponies.

Your host, Sue, will provide continental breakfast for two, delivered to your room for you to enjoy in private.

Private entrance and safe parking.

The space
The sun-drenched deck overlooks a delightful country garden, with views to the Havelock hills, and adjacent to paddocks with sheep, miniature ponies, and goats.

The queen bed is amazingly comfortable, fitted with the best quality linens, and a range of pillows. The en-suite is well appointed, with luxurious towels supplied.

Air-conditioning will keep you toasty in winter, and cool during the hot and dry Hawkes Bay summer.

Your own private garden area is equipped with barbecue facilities and comfortable seating.

Use of bikes for free and a tandem bike is also available.

Very friendly pets live in the paddock beside the cottage. Teddy and Indy are the miniature horses, Izzy and Rosy are twin goats, and Tommy and Milly are the pet sheep - all very friendly and love attention!

Feel free to enjoy the rest of our garden too!

It is around 12 minutes drive to the lovely village of Havelock North, and Te Mata Peak or a similar distance to the city of Hastings. The 'twin city' of Napier is approximately 20 minutes away which includes the Hawkes Bay Airport.

The farmers market on a Sunday in Hastings is at the show grounds and a great way to start your day.

During your stay

Your host, Sue, will meet you on arrival, however, your privacy is very important to us!

We live in the villa on the property and are available by phone or a knock on the door at any time, should you need assistance, but will give you all the space you need to enjoy the privacy and country solitude that Rosser Retreat offers.

Part of the garden is entirely secluded for your exclusive use during your stay, however, we would love for you to enjoy the rest of the extensive gardens at your leisure. Please feel welcome to wander around the garden at any time.

There is a fridge, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, crockery and cutlery in the cottage, along with a gas barbeque in a private outdoor area (note, there is not a full kitchen).

If you need washing done, please do not hesitate to ask Sue who will be more than happy to help!
