Large self contained holiday apartment with it's own garden adjoined to/within 'The Old Woollen Mill' a family run permaculture smallholding with its own stretch of river and delightful woodland path alongside - perfect for picnicking, and wildlife spotting. Pied flycatchers, red starts, marsh tits, kingfishers, dippers and goshawk have all been spotted here. Woodpeckers on the birdfeeder. Awesome coastline nearby to be explored.
Well behaved dogs welcome. Please read and observe house rules.

The space
Great for wildlife enthusiasts, bird spotters, eco warriors and people interested in sustainability.
Great location for anyone who just wants to get away from it all... relax and unwind.
No light pollution, perfect for star gazing.
Apologies, the mill is on a hill, it's not great for those with mobility problems.

Where you’ll be

Cribyn, Wales, United Kingdom

Our neighbours are mostly sheep :O)
We are 5 miles from Lampeter, where there is Sainsbury's and Watson and Pratts an organic supermarket which I am proud to say Lampeter has. Also the Mullberry Bush a little wholefood shop with a little eating area upstairs does nice wholesome food and is child friendly.
Aberaeron is ten miles away, Newquay only 25 mins away.
Half an hour away is Llangrannog a superb beach, very clean, very beautiful, with places to eat looking out onto the beach, and caves to explore, which kids will just love, and cliff walks.
Our river will also be great for exploring... and fields right on your doorstep, a ford and a troll bridge :O)
Favourite pub with awesome sea view; The Pentre Arms in Llangrannog.
Breathtaking scenery almost everywhere in this very green and unspoiled part of the world.
Also recommend the Nehar Indian take-away for an easy meal after a long drive, call them from half an hour away to pick it up on the way through.

Hi, my partner Terry and I found an escape from the treadmill and came to Wales a couple of years ago in search of the 'good life'. We have been very busy trying to make ourselves more sustainable, we are learning about permaculture, becoming active in the community and trying to grow our own food...
