A wooden and stone house from the XVI century renewed in 2006 following ecological standars. Good place to rest, hike, photography, bird watching or enjoy the "fiesta" (San Fermín in Pamplona, the running of bulls), music and film festivals (Donostia-San Sebastian, Bilbao). Ecological garden and vegan cuisine.

The space
This house still has most of the original constructive elements from the XVI century. It is located in a montaneus area: forests, clifts, small towns with very old buildings, people still living by their basque traditions,... This is, as well, a good place to rest after the "walk to Santiago".

Where you’ll be

Gaintza, Navarra, Spain

This small town, with only 15 houses (many from the XVI and XVII centuries) has no bars, restaurants or any kind of shops. It is quite, traditional, and people still cultivate their own small gardens and live from sheeps and other animals in tradicional ways. The area is very montaneus but, at the same time, close to ocean beaches and medium sized cities like Pamplona, Donostia-San Sebastian, Bilbao and Bayonne in the French Basque Country.
