Welcome to our cottage with a private beach, jetty, kayaks and rowing boat at the end of a small village road, surrounded by untouched forests and stunning water views in the heart of the Turku Archipelago. We provide a fully-furnished house, with an indoor fireplace for chilly evenings. Here you can enjoy our newly renovated wood-heated sauna, a dip in the sea, the birdlife and the relaxing peacefulness all year around.

The space
To take a dip in the bay under the stars after a hot wood-fired sauna is an absolutely priceless experience. Paddle out with the kayak in the morning sun to the songs from the birdlife. If you are lucky, you can see a moose, some deers, or other inherit animals on your stroll in the forest. If you are here during autumn, you will be greeted by an abundance of wild berries and delicate mushrooms. This cottage is also the perfect place for distance work, writing a book or finishing your research article.

Here you can find our three-bedroom cottages (4+2+1 people). The houses are surrounded by nature and overlook seawater. It is a non-smoking accommodation that doesn't allow pets to provide a space for people with allergies. The cottage is to be reached by bicycle, car and boat.

We charge you 10€/person for bed sheets, bath towels, hand towels and sauna towels. If you want to use our private kayaks (one two-seated kayak and one one-seated kayak) or our bikes (for two persons), you need to book them, free of charge, in advance. They are provided from the end of May until the middle of October.

The property has four separate buildings: the main house, sauna house, a garage and a cosy outdoor toilet. The cottage is well isolated for year-round usage. The property is the last house on a small village road and is a secluded nature location.

Main house (40m2) with a sunny south-facing veranda overlooking the water:
- 2 bedrooms for four people, one double bed, + 2 bunk beds in a second bedroom, (most people find these 90cm width bunk beds ok, some might prefer more extensive beds ).
If you need an optional bed, two persons can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room (but in that case, be prepared for the house to be very crowded).
- The kitchen is an open kitchenette (running cold and warm water), with the following equipment: 2 electric plates, oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee machine, plates, bowls, utensils etc.
- Natural spring-fed water supply
- A small, efficient wood-burning stove in the middle of the cottage There are also external heat radiators if needed
- Sanitary: room with a washbasin (running cold and warm water). Outdoor composting toilet behind the house (there is no indoor or water toilet)
- Spacious veranda with water views, chairs and tables.

Sauna house (16 m2) with a veranda, also overlooking the water:
- wood-fired sauna for four people with shower and changing facilities. We are renovating these facilities from April-May 2022 to be ready for the summer season. We hope you will enjoy it.
- private entrance to a workspace with a desk, a chair and a bed (100 cm). This is ideal for anyone needing to focus on work/studies, or the teenager needing a place of their own.
- a jetty, by the private sand beach where you can jump into the bay while doing the sauna

Garage house:
- a small barbecue + charcoal, wood logs storage, waste sorting and our other private stuff :)

You will have an exquisite experience here by having the feeling of being on your own. Since the cottage is at the end of the road, you only have one neighbour. Except for that, the cabin is surrounded by kilometres of wilderness. No one can look into the cottage or the property except the sea. Your sandy beach is entirely your own. You also have a charming rocky beach 30 meters from the cabin, our favourite one. Here the rock formations have formed natural "rock benches" to sit on in the sun after a dip in the water. You will also have access to a hammock so you can take a nap under the pine trees.

* I am also renting myself as Airbnb is perfect for people traveling like me - living at hotels on work trips, but wanting something more personal on holidays together with friends
* I am an independent traveler that want to be able to create my own unique experience with my friends and sleeping space is an important part of it
* It is lovely to have your own space where you can serve yourself the breakfast you like (a full vegetarian) or decide to eat elsewhere
* Airbnb offer the possibility to get what you want; there are more information that I feel as important as; how far is it to the next bus/metro/tram, where is the grocery shop, is it a noisy area, the standard in the apartment.
* Airbnb hosts often (not always) help one out not because it is their job, but because they are genuine interested in doing it. Honest comments from other travelers about what works and what does not - feels more reliable as always referring to the same place and host, as to a hotel complex where there might be a lot of staff or different standards on the rooms.

This cottage is also used by my family and rented by me and my siblings. When rented we also occasionally use another cottage approximately 300m away on the same road, mainly during the summer months.
