In Daikon Island in the heart of the lake, Retreat to the heart of the island. Located in Daikon Island, San'in, Japan, "COCORETO-The Guest House" opens in May 2018, and to offer experience program called "Island Cycling" and "Experience" (harvesting, making crafts, etc.). Hi, this is Mackey. Welcome to COCORETO, Daikon Island! After 25 years of business experience in Tokyo/Shanghai, I've come back to my home town, and renovated an old wooden building for starting a guest house. Since having lived in Australia and Shanghai, I speak English and Chinese (Mandarin). Looking forward to talking with you, from anywhere on the lonely planet!

Daikon Island or Twin Lakes (Lake Nakawumi / Lake Shinji) region is rural area in Japan, but supposedly has many tourism resources such as nature landscape, historical architecture, beautiful gardens - e.g. Adachi musuem and Yuushien garden - and so on. I grew up in this region, and after going around many places in the world through business trips, I believe this region should have high possibility to be one of the popular tourist destinations in near future.

I love reading books (business, society, art & design, etc.), listening to music (werstern/chinese), and eating worldwide foods (french, italian, anglo-steak, asian spicy etc.) . I have put some elements of these into the guesthouse, and I hope visitors can feel something in staying here. I would like visitors from the world to know and learn multiple aspects of Daikon Island and Twin Lakes region.
