If you are a nature lover wanting to soak yourself in golden sunrises, if you are an adventure lover in love with the valleys and mountains, if you are weary of the city and it’s traffic, office and the rat race, Summit Solitude welcomes you. A perfect hideaway, a cosy cottage looking out to a picturesque valley of lush tea plantations and winding roads. We promise you breathtaking views be it night or day, the cool embrace of the Nilgiri winds and a home to call it a day.

The space
Summit Solitude is a cozy two bed room cottage with a small lawn and an open patio offering scenic views. The ground floor has a small porch, a spacious living room, open kitchen and dining area. Two bedrooms with attached bathrooms and full length windows open out to a small balcony upstairs. The space is done in minimalistic decor. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plates, cutlery, toaster, microwave and stove. A smart tv, books and high speed WiFi are available for your entertainment. Or you can sit outdoors sipping your favourite drink and lose yourself in the enchanting beauty of the mountains.

Experience the enchanting blue hills up close with a trek to the nearby strawberry farm - which is a treat for the eyes and the soul. A winding way through small colourful houses and a centuries old shrine leads to an amazing organic farm that grows cabbages, beets, carrots and more. Go strawberry picking and snack on the fresh produce. Our manager Uday is a local expert and will guide you to an exciting farm trail. Or you can enjoy a trip to the famous tea factory where you can experience how tea is made firsthand. You can buy strawberries, strawberry wine and first quality Nilgiri tea and a long walk in the crisp and cool mountain air. Spend half a day and cherish the memories forever.

Bitten by the travel bug, I love to travel and explore new places. But there are few places that give me the sense of wonderment like my home in Ooty. On top of a mountain, facing a valley, where sunrise is spectacular, a quaint little villa, be my guest.
