Where you’ll be

Annascaul, County Kerry, Ireland

We are located in the pretty village of Annascaul which is known as "Base Camp, Annascaul" due to its central location on the peninsula. It is loved by walkers and hikers for its many mountain hikes, lakeside trails and beach walks.
The village has many facilities including several pubs and shops. Enjoy good food at Joan's Café, fish & chips at Sailor's Catch, Pizza at The Anchor and sit by the river for bar food at the South Pole Inn. The famous South Pole Inn is the birthplace of Antarctic explorer Tom Crean.
The village is located just 6 km from beautiful Inch Beach where you can enjoy swimming, surfing and wind gliding. Minard castle also has a lovely secluded beach ideal for families.
Annascaul is a wonderful base for walkers and hikers. There are several walking festivals in the village the most famous being the Tom Crean Endurance walk which attracts walkers from all over the world. Enjoy a day at the beautiful hidden gem that is Annascaul Lake. We are on the doorstep of picturesque Dingle with its many facilities and beautiful scenery. We are only 40 minutes from Killarney National Park.
The Dingle Peninsula is world renowned for many reasons including the making of movies such as Ryan's Daughter, Far and Away and most recently Star Wars. Our famous dolphin Fungi attracts many visitors. Iconic drives such as the Conor Pass and Slea Head are a must do for any visitor. We are also immensely proud of our heritage with the peninsula boasting over 1600 archaeological monuments some as old as the pyramids.

We are Áine and Micheál. We are both from Kerry and Micheál is native to Annascaul. Our love of the outdoors and West Kerry is what led us to set up Dingle Way Glamping. Our desire to create a sustainable work life balance for our family while living in a place we love was our inspiration. The Dingle Way is an historic and famous walking trail that takes you on a journey through the most beautiful scenery on the Dingle Peninsula.
Central to our ethos is a desire to create a unique holiday experience while having minimal impact on the local environment. We also believe that glamping is a wonderfully low impact and environmentally friendly way of visiting beautiful and unspoiled areas and a fantastic way to meet like minded people. We are passionate about supporting local food producers and tradespeople (Website hidden by Airbnb)
We believe that West Kerry is one of the most beautiful in the world and we want to give people the opportunity to experience this in a natural and relaxed way.
Micheál was a carpenter for many years and he now brings that experience and drive for quality to this project, handcrafting our glamping units. He also builds bespoke shepherd's huts for glamping enthusiasts.
Áine has vast experience in the customer service industry in Ireland and spent some time exploring and working abroad. She brings this love of adventure and passion for delivering excellent standards to our new venture.
