The lake is the hero of the area. There are many chances to enjoy aquatic sports with equipment hire available. The walking/cycle path hugs the lake for 9km and takes you to Warners Bay and beyond or, in the other direction, to Speers Point Park and the Saturday Farmers' Market, Pippis pub serving pub food on their large deck and the local swimming pool. Continuing in this direction leads to the Lake Macquarie museum of art and culture.
Great cafés abound in Warners Bay.

I was born in NZ and, after living in the UK for a time, have now lived in Australia for over 20 years. I still relish getting back together with family and friends in NZ but travelling both locally and further afield is also a great passion.
After years as a pharmacist, now retired, I changed tack and completed a bachelor of psychology in my 50s. I can say I enjoyed the university experience as an older student way more than I did in my teens.
I decided that hosting an airbnb residence would be a great way to combine my love of travel and exploring other cultures with a desire to provide a safe and comfortable retreat for guests to relax, unwind and venture forth.
Our proximity to the lake and the amenities of Warners Bay provide a wonderful lifestyle and Denis and I would be delighted to share this with you.
