We love the location because it is 10 miles away from Ocqueoc Falls the largest waterfall in northern lower Michigan and the only falls where you can jump in and swim. Hoeft State Park on Lake Huron is 20 min. away with miles of sandy lakeshore! Mackinaw City is 38 miles away a short 45 minute drive. Only 15 miles away from 40 Mile Point Lighthouse Museum on Lake Huron. My favorite in the fall Knaebe's Mmmunchy Krunchy Apple Farm & Twisted Roots Cider featuring Donuts, Fresh Pressed Cider, Hand-Picked Apples, Wood Fired Pizzas, Hard Cider & Happiness!
Our cottage is directly across from Black Mountain Recreation area with 12,000 acres to explore. Black Lake Golf Club is 5 miles away and the Black Lake UAW Center is minutes from the cottage with an awesome dining experience. The 211 grill is our favorite as well as the Bluffs. Both are a few miles away from the cottage. But mostly we love the 10,000 acre, 7th largest inland lake, Black Lake with its stunning sunsets!
