Beaver Mines is a quiet hamlet of 100 people, on the doorstep of Castle Provincial & Wildland Parks. There is a well stocked general store, playground, tennis court and horseshoe pits. Only 20 minutes to Castle Mountain Resort (downhill skiing), 5 minutes to the entrance of Castle Provincial Park (hiking, fishing, swimming etc.), 40 minutes to Waterton Lakes National Park, 25 minutes to Frank Slide/Crowsnest Pass, 10 minutes to Pincher Creek, 40 minutes to Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump, 1 hour to Fernie.
