Situated on the side of Maungatapere Mountain, our property of just under 4 acres is rural yet not a huge hike to town (16.8 km to Whangarei CBD). Central to both East and West Coasts (approx 40 minutes drive either way), it is the perfect place for exploring the upper North Island. An ideal spot to base yourself whether it be for business or leisure.

The space
Situated in a private position away from the main house, our one bedroom self-contained unit has everything you need. It has a full kitchen (no dishwasher) with Nespresso machine, separate bedroom and spacious bathroom, washing machine and dryer and a cast iron bath on your deck for soaking and taking in the bush views. It has a generous sized smart TV with Netflix. You do need to be advised that for the most part our internet connection is stable though on the odd occasion it can be temperamental - we do not have the luxury of fibre yet. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, soap, toilet paper and bodywash provided. There are herb plants dotted around your section including parsley, thyme, chives, lemon grass and a bay tree archway - please feel free to make use of them if you are cooking. You are also welcome to lean over your fence and grab some lemons when in season - we always have too many.

We are situated on a private road that the residents maintain so please stick to a speed of 40 km or less. Maungatapere township has a cafe, takeaways and a gas station which has a wide variety of products including fresh fruit, vegetables and meat to save you a trip to town.
