Located in a rural setting on the wild atlantic way. Ideal for hill walking, walks along the beach, fishing and cycling. It is a 17 minute drive to the town of Belmullet where you will find plenty of hotels, bars, restaurants and the famous 18 hole Carne links course. Within a 5 mile radius of the cottage you will find local shops, bars, stunning beaches and guided cliff walks. DownPatrick head and the Ceide fields are just a 20 minute drive away. Knock airport is an hour away by car.

The space
The cottage sits on 7 acres of farmland, ideal for kids to run and kick a ball around . Portacloy beach is just minutes by car and Rinroe has 2 beautiful beaches and is also close by car. There are pubs about 5 km away and a local taxi, number available in the house. The house is open plan with sitting room , kitchen and dining leading into each other. Bedrooms are off the sitting room in the old cottage style. The master bedroom has an ensuite and there’s a large bathroom to facilitate the other bedrooms. We have a stove in the stone fireplace and extra turf can be found outside the back door or in the sheds opposite the house. This is a perfect location for a cosy weekend away or a base for cliff walks and cycling the wild Atlantic Way.

The cottage is in a farming and fishing area. People are friendly and welcoming. It’s close to Belmullet town , Rossport and the famous ‘Children Of Lir’ loop walk.

I like to give guests space to enjoy the cottage, but I am available at all times by phone or email . I endeavour to have our caretaker meet you on arrival but if this isn’t possible I’ll let you where to access the keys.
