Enjoy life in a traditional Greek village. Narrow lanes tucking through rolling hills lead you to our family home, above our tavern. Mesochoria village is only two hours away from Athens airport (via bridge or ferry) but feels a world away. A big home can that host one or even two families 5 min away from two wonderful beaches of Aegean sea (Limiona and Almirihi).Grap the opportunity to taste traditional homemade products such as wood-oven baked bread or spinach pie with homemade goat cheese.

The space
We are ready to host you in our home under these new circumstances. Firts and foremost we want you to know that there has been no virus case any close to our village. Secondly, we have enhance our cleaning routine by a check-list suggested by the Hellenic National Public Health Organization. We want you to know that we’re doing our best to help our guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) and letting the house empty one day before & after every booking.

Our home is spacious. It features three large bedrooms which each sleep two people. In the living room there is also a sofa bed which could be used as additional sleeping area for two more, giving you a total of eight! The master bedroom has a balcony which overlooks the Amirixi beach and our family orange grove. The window has screening so you can be sure to sleep bug-free even while enjoying a summer breeze. The second bedroom also enjoys the same sweeping views and comfortable double bed. The third bedroom has ample space for you and your luggage, and sleeps two people with separate twin beds. There is also a large desk for working on your laptop if necessary.

You can self cater in our fully equipped kitchen. There’s every utensil and tool you would need to create a proper feast. Flatware, flatware, pots, pans, and even a blender (hello, smoothies!). There’s a large refrigerator and freezer which you can fill with drinks to keep you cool during the warm days! But, it’s your vacation, and if you’d rather eat without cooking you only have to go downstairs to enjoy the food and atmosphere of a real Greek Tavern. We are famous for our spanakopita (Greek spinach pie), moussaka, and oven fired bread. Of course, who can forget the Greek salad with a thick slice of tangy feta cheese..

Our home is only a 5 minute drive to the famous white sand beach of Limionas and the rustic cove of Almirihi beach. There are free umbrellas at the beach, and you will also find taverns grilling up the freshest fish on the island. If it’s mountain adventure you seek, head to to Styra to hike to the famous Monolithic Dragon Houses. From there you will enjoy wide views over the Evian Gulf and unobstructed panoramas of Mount Ochi. We are located in the south of the island so it’s also a great place to day trip to other spots in south Evia.

I now live and work in Denmark, but I grew up in Mesochroia, Evia. I love my village and want to share its beauty with the visitors. I also love greek traditional music that's why I am playing bouzouki (a greek folk instrument). I really enjoy being with my friends and playing music together.
As a person from a village, I am always open and helpful with the people around me and excited when I learn about new people, places, and cultures.
