'The Howff' is a refurbished farm worker's bothy in a rural location with lots of walks and access to beautiful parts of Perthshire. One hour's drive from Edinburgh, 20 mins Dundee or Perth. This authentic bothy contains one room with single bed, wood burning stove, mini kitchen unit with fridge, oven, portable hob and kettle, separate shower room, wc, basin. Linen, towels, logs included. Although small, The Howff is warm and cosy and makes a perfect retreat. Please note for ONE only.

The space
This is totally unique but please make sure you have read the description of the space and please note there is no 'actual' kitchen, but a purpose built unit with the essentials. It sits on a small farm in the Sidlaw Hills, it is rural agricultural land all around with walks from the house and many more within easy driving. Nearest small shops are 5 miles away and we are not on a bus route.

There is good wi-fi but please note mobile phone reception is poor inside. The kitchen unit is cute but basic and has all the essentials as mentioned above. There is no sink, washing up has to be done in the shower room basin or a plastic bowl.

I have taken the extra required precautions as far as cleaning is concerned.

I live on a farm in rural Perthshire. Love walking, travelling and meeting other people.

During your stay

I live in the main farmhouse and so am not far away and am happy to give ideas for walks and local interests.
