Direct beach access, 2 self-contained bedroom suites (bedroom plus bathroom) in main house, 1 self-contained bedroom suite (bedroom plus bathroom) plus one room (walk through) with single bed in separate cottage, total 8 people, two seafront terrace, one in main house, one in sep. cottage. On a 2 acre private beach plot facing the Indian Ocean. Ushongo Bay is touristically largely undeveloped with idyllic beach. See bea(URL HIDDEN)

The space
The spacious and airy house sits on an elevated platform and offers great views on the Indian Ocean. The house has been completed in June 2007. Solid stone house built with local materials (Makuti thatched roof, hardwood/ boatwood furniture & natural stone floors). It offers comfort and all modern amenities. In 2016 we completed additional separate cottage for two people. We only rent out the property to one party. Sorry we do not rent the cottage separately.

Where you’ll be

Ushongo Mabaoni, Tanga, Tanzania

Ushongo Bay is touristically largely undeveloped. There are no traffic noises, no souvenir shops, no hawkers, water scooters, etc. Typically there are no more than 20-50 tourists in Ushongo. The usual movements to be seen are villagers on bicycles on the beach and traditional fishing boats crossing the bay.
